We provide delivery and postnatal care. Furthermore, for some women who may only be interested in having a delivery with our doctors this option is also available.

The full pregnancy care package includes the following:

  • A booking appointment and consultation.
  • Regular follow up visits.
  • Detailed morphology scan with a feto-maternal specialist.
  • Planned delivery (both caesarean and vaginal delivery).
  • Postpartum check up.
  • Our Doctors 24/7 personal mobile number to contact.

HIGH RISK

PREGNANCIES

It is known that all pregnancies carry a risk of complication, but the probability of something happening is usually low.
An important note is that being classified as being at high risk during your pregnancy does not necessarily mean that you will experience complications. The majority of women will go on to give birth without any problems. However, it is important to know when you are at risk, so that you can take the right precautions, get the appropriate treatment, or be provided with the appropriate preventive management when it is required.

During your antenatal follow up, we aim to provide you with a smooth pregnancy course. However, in case you experience any particular problems, we strive to provide thorough management for the mother and baby to ensure optimal outcome for mother and child.

What is a High Risk Pregnancy?

A high risk pregnancy is one in which the risk of a certain complication is higher than the general population and requires close attention by the caring physician.

Factors that may identify you as being a candidate for high risk pregnancy include the following:

  • Having a pre-existing health condition such as high blood pressure or diabetes that could affect your pregnancy
  • Being a very young mother or above the age of 35
  • Being overweight or underweight
  • Having  previous pregnancies complicated by hypertension or preeclampsia or diabetes or small babies
  • Expecting twins or more
  • Developing a condition like preeclampsia, gestational diabetes, or placenta previa during your current pregnancy

What additional Management
Strategies are implemented?

  • Your doctor may recommend you to reduce the risk, by changing your diet or taking a supplements.
  • You may also need additional antenatal monitoring during pregnancy to ensure any signs of trouble are identified early on.
  • You might have additional antenatal consultations which include ultrasound scans or screening tests.
  • Your condition may require management such as early delivery via caesarean or early induction of vaginal delivery.

It is important to note that in all cases, your antenatal care and treatment will be tailored and individualized to your baby and your personal needs; moreover, we will provide you with a thorough explanation of the options in detail so that decisions are taken together.
